The gastronomy of Miraflores de la Sierra has always been an attraction for its visitors, who find in the numerous Miraflores catering establishments a prolific offer of dishes made with the products of the land:

• Honey:
  Made with the pollen of rockroses and mountain heather.
• Curd:
  Very rich in calcium, phosphorus and proteins of high biological value.
• Cheese:
  Semi-cured and cured sheep, semi-cured and cured mixture, raw sheep artisan.
• Mushrooms:
  Our humid and fertile land gives numerous mushrooms, the most outstanding ones, Boletus Edulis and Lactarius deliciosus (níscalos).
• Meat from the Sierra de Guadarrama:
  It has the seal of quality guarantee "Protected Geographical Indication".
• Roasts:
  Typical and traditional dish prepared by our chefs in their restaurants, washed down with the best wines with Denomination of Origin Vinos de Madrid.
• Cake shop:
  The Piononos of Santa Fe de Granada, the Macureñas Pastes and the Yogurt Cake are famous.

Throughout the year several gastronomic events are held, focused not only on people who like the art of good eating but also on people willing to experience a new culinary adventure:

• Gastronomic Sample of the Hunting and the Mushrooms:
  Our vocation "setera" and hunter are reflected in this event that takes place during the month of November, which also make known the typical mountain products of this season. In this Gastronomic Exhibit, many restaurateurs of the town develop their creativity and elaborate tempting dishes such as: "Croquetitas de boletus", "Beans with quail and mushrooms", "Stewed partridge with níscalos", "Salad of pickled thighs with vinaigrette "... A pleasure for the senses.
• The Great Day of the Slaughter of the Pig:
  It takes place in February, it is a festive day for the whole family where the gastronomy, the tradition, the ritual, the celebration, the culture ... We contemplate the process of elaboration and tasting of the different products derived from the pig .
• Gastronomic Days of the Slaughter of the Pig:
  Throughout the month of February we can enjoy, in the best restaurants of Miraflores de la Sierra, those dishes as traditional and as flavorful as "Somarritos Ibéricos", "Pudin de morcilla y piñones", "Judiones con oreja, ribs and tail "...
• Medieval Market:
  It is celebrated the last weekend of July and it transports us vertiginously to a distant time. In it you can enjoy different craft products of the highest quality:
  varied charcuterie, cheeses, empanadas, pastry and pastries.
